Our Library
Somerset Township Library has been a cornerstone of the community for over 50 years, serving not only the residents of Somerset Township but also those of neighboring areas such as Mirror Lake and Moscow Township. As a small, independent public library, we offer a diverse collection of books to enrich the lives of our patrons. Committed to providing accessible resources without relying on federal or state funding, our library fosters a love for reading, learning, and community engagement. Whether you’re borrowing materials, attending programs, or utilizing our notary services, Somerset Township Library is here to support your informational and educational needs.
Book Return and Policies
Please return all borrowed items directly to the Somerset Township Library. We do not participate in inter-library loans, so all materials must be returned to our location. When using the drop box, ensure that returned items are placed in a clean plastic bag to protect them. Please refrain from placing non-library items in the drop box. Damaged items will incur a minimum fee of $5.00, charged to the individual who signed out the material.
Book Sales
Support your library by purchasing books at affordable prices:
Hardcover: $1.00
Softcover: $0.75
Paperback: $0.50
All proceeds from book sales are reinvested into purchasing new materials for children, youth, and adult collections.
Donations
At this time, Somerset Township Library is not accepting any donations. We appreciate your understanding and continued support through book sales and other services.
Notary Services
We offer notary services to the community. Please contact us in advance to confirm availability. Remember to bring a valid state ID and ensure that all parties are present when signing documents. Documents will not be notarized if already signed or if any party is absent.
