IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
It is the responsibility of the taxpayer to:

1) provide the township with the most current address.
Failure to receive the tax notice does not negate the responsibility of payment per State Law.

2) ensure the accuracy of the parcel number as it relates to the legal description of the parcel.
Tax payments are applied per parcel number and if that number is not for the correct legal description, you could be paying someone else's taxes !!

100% PRE-Principal Residence Exemption  (formerly known as 'homestead') will only affect the season in which your school district collects its "School Operating Tax".

Your tax bill will read "Exempt" instead of an amount in the School Operating Tax millage line for that season.

In Somerset Township, the only school collecting in the Summer tax season is Hanover-Horton.

School districts--Addison, North Adams/Jerome, Columbia Central--all collect in the Winter tax season.
