The Somerset Township Planning Commission serves the entire township by providing a vision for improving the quality of life. The Planning Commission promotes and coordinates comprehensive long range planning, growth management, transportation and environmental protection, as it makes its recommendations to the township board.

Meetings are usually bi-monthly with some special meetings. The township needs public participation to represent all aspects of community life.
